This Nashville trio works without a center: Lou Turner, Trevor Nikrant, and Joe Kenkel pass the microphone and the instruments around as if no single voice deserved to carry the loneliness alone. Any River began as jams taped at home and was finished, almost reluctantly, in a Louisville studio with Jim Marlowe, which is why it keeps its frayed edges — the takes breathe rather than gleam. Stereogum named it Album of the Week, and Bonnie "Prince" Billy called it a sweet alignment of cooperative forces, which is exactly the right register: this is a record that declines to prove anything, and is the better for declining. 珀斯樂團的第十一張。這次他們給自己上了三道枷鎖：不許用 fuzz 失真踏板、不許寫抒情慢歌、「不許整 Pink Floyd 那一套」。一支以迷幻噪音立身的樂團，親手沒收了自己的看家本領，結果反而清醒了。他們管這聲音叫「在酒館裡的哥德」——引的是 The Church、Magazine、Sisters of Mercy 那一脈冷峻的後龐克與新浪潮。戒掉本能之後，剩下的是骨架：乾淨、緊實、好看。先行單曲 "Two Hands"、"Through the Heather" 已經把方向說清楚了。

Gary Bartz, well into his eighties — a man who shared stages with Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, and Art Blakey — has gone and sat down inside a circle of young Londoners. Your Brother's Keeper is the collective assembled by the drummer Jake Long, with Chelsea Carmichael and Al MacSween among its ranks, and the album grew entirely out of group improvisation, nobody conducting anyone. Two generations and an ocean apart, and still the rivers meet; the title earns itself. The trumpeter's second record, following 2024's Evergreen, takes its name from a street in Cleveland — the long route from Seattle to New York, and a Japanese American's recurring arithmetic about where, exactly, home sits. Cut last autumn at The Bunker in Brooklyn with Chris McCarthy on piano and Rhodes, Masami Kuroki on guitar, and Takafumi Nikaido on congas, the writing is fine-grained and unhurried, a bellflower opening at dusk and holding its light. Naming homesickness after a street rather than scoring it as an elegy is the more restrained choice, and the more sophisticated one. 小號手 Jun Iida 的第二張，接續 2024 年的 Evergreen。專輯名取自克里夫蘭的一條街，背後是他從西雅圖遷往紐約的那條路，和一個日裔美國人對「家在哪裡」的反覆掂量。2025 年秋天錄於布魯克林的 The Bunker，搭檔 Chris McCarthy（鋼琴/Rhodes）、黑木真美（吉他）、二階堂天文（康加）。織體很細，不喧嘩，像黃昏才開的桔梗，安靜地把光收住。把鄉愁寫成一個街名，比寫成一首輓歌要剋制得多，也高級得多。

君島大空（Ohzora Kimishima） — 花落知多少

君島大空已經約三年沒出全長了（上一張是 2023 年的《no public sounds》）。他的聲音一向像被砂紙輕輕磨過——吉他、人聲、電子噪音都貼得很近，近到有點不安，那種欲言又止的句法是他的簽名。專輯名借了孟浩然《春曉》裡的「花落知多少」，落花的題旨配他這種聲音剛剛好。先行曲 "Drowsy" 已經以數位單曲放出，專輯還配著 6 月 28 日起的六場個人巡演。今天唯一一張非英語作品，也是我私心最想推給願意慢下來的人的一張。

Alban Gerhardt / WDR SO Köln / Andrew Manze — Elgar & Dvořák: Cello Concertos
